Installation Steps

    Download the extension using the download button above

    Open your browser's extension management page:

    • Chrome: Enter chrome://extensions in the address bar
    • Edge: Enter edge://extensions in the address bar
    • Brave: Enter brave://extensions in the address bar
    • Firefox: Enter about:addons in the address bar and select "Extensions"

    Enable Developer Mode by toggling the switch in the top-right corner of the extensions page

    Load the extension:

    • Chrome/Edge: Click "Load unpacked" and select the folder where you extracted the extension files
    • Firefox: Click the gear icon, select "Debug Add-ons", then "Load Temporary Add-on" and select the manifest.json file in the extracted folder

    Verify installation by checking that the RepliAI icon appears in your browser's extension toolbar

Extension Setup

Advanced Features

Compliance Mode

When enabled, Compliance Mode automatically redacts sensitive information before sending text to the AI:

  • Email addresses
  • Phone numbers
  • Social security numbers
  • Bank account information
  • Personal names

Important: While Compliance Mode provides an additional layer of security, avoid sharing highly confidential or regulated information through the extension.

Server Status Indicator

The Dashboard tab includes a server status indicator:

Green: Connected
Yellow: Connecting
Red: Disconnected

Troubleshooting

Extension Not Appearing
  • Check if developer mode is still enabled in your browser's extensions page
  • Try reinstalling the extension following the installation steps
  • Make sure your browser is up to date
API Key Issues
  • Verify your API key is entered correctly in the Settings tab
  • Check for any leading or trailing spaces in the API key field
  • Confirm your API key is active and has not expired
Context Menu Option Missing
  • Make sure you have selected text before right-clicking
